At the House of Memory Museum, we work from different lines and projects to build memories, sensitize all citizens against the impacts of violence and ensure that there is an understanding and guarantee of non-repetition.
Our main projects are:
Creation and Circulation of Contents
This process involves the memories jointly elaboration, archiving and circulation, to contribute to the guarantees of non-repetition, symbolic reparation and reconciliation. For this purpose, our Museum has its own researchers and the Memory Activation Resource Center – (known in Spanish as CRAM – Centro de Recursos para la Activación de la Memoria), which objectives are:
- Research for the participatory construction of memories
- Elaboration of museological scripts and contents construction for the museographic processes
- Knowledge management
- Contents circulation through the Document Center and Human Rights Archive
- Leading and participating in academic and city events
Making Visible the Memories and Transfer Them
This process aims to generate pedagogical methodologies and museographic experiences that enable an approach and understanding of the conflict from the enunciation and symbolic elaboration of memories, intersubjective dialogues and the recognition of the other, awareness of their pain and needs; Interpellation and mobilizing the subject and the strengthening of the communities towards the peace construction.
Social links and alliances
This process aims to generate citizen participation through social and cultural spaces around the memories and their role in building peace, from the plurality and recognition of diverse voices. To achieve this objective, it seeks to establish links between local, national and international entities, as well as the development of alliances and the networks activation that also allow the strengthening of the Museum internal and external processes.
