[El ataque a la justicia]

ÚLTIMAMENTE YA NO NOS ENCONTRAMOS SINO EN LOS ENTIERROS

Teniendo en cuenta esos aciagos días y el permanente agudizamiento de los hechos violentos hacia los empleados de la rama judicial, yo creo pertinente hablar de supervivencia. Pues, supervivencia en el sentido de dar las gracias porque al día siguiente amaneces y estás vivo (…) A mí se me asignó un escolta (…) y mi escolta eran policías, y hubo un momento en que los policías eran el principal blanco del Cartel. Entonces era una especie de paradoja, que los que lo estaban cuidando a uno eran el principal objetivo de quienes potencialmente iban a atentar contra uno.

I was assigned protection (…) and my protection was made up of police officers, and there was a time when the cops were the main target of the Cartel . Then it was a kind of paradox, that those who were protecting you were the main objective of those who potentially were going to attack you.
